I try to stick to a routine. Easier said than done most days as I struggle at the best of times with sleeping. I will not go to sleep during the day unless it is really essential. I use any distractions to try and make sure that happens. It's to me a person challenge every day. However this does affect the chronic fatigue syndrome (ME) and increases my anxiety levels in the evenings. I hope this helps. xx
I'll say sleeping a LOT isn't part of Fibromyalgia but a aide effect of medication instead.
But I can only speak for myself for me when I was put on medication for to treat Fibromyalgia I became tired but before medication was added I didn't have a lot of energy but I wouldn't fall asleep at the drop of a hat either (and off medication for Fibromyalgia I'm back to normal).
It would be good to talk with your doc about the sleeping issues
My doctors said I should shoot for 10-12 hours a night, though most nights I don't get it. But yes, tiredness comes with fibro.
I've always suffered from insomnia and after so many years finally my psychiatrist hit the spot with the right medication however the tiredness does come from fibromyalgia and then it will make you tired π΄ soft hugs π€ and prayers ππ»ππ»
I could also sleep for 24 hours a day..every day. I have to force myself to get moving when I'd rather just stay in bed. It's very hard. Especially when you get a flare up. But I have also now been diagnosed with something called pernicious anemia which doesn't allow my body to absorb iron in any way. I have to go for infusion treatments of iron about every 4 to 6 weeks. It does help. But I know when my iron is low as all I do is sleep. I could fall asleep sitting up or in the middle of a conversation. Just another thing I'm going through. But get it checked out.
