In addition to checking out what was mentioned above, fibromyalgia research has found inadequate microvascular circulation. So the more you use your muscles, the harder your heart has to work to overcome that disturbed microcirculation in order to feed those overworked muscles.
The remedy, to be active earlier in the day and give your body more rest in the hours before bedtime.
Use compression clothing when you are active to help move lactic acid out of your working muscles.
I use cold showers after being extra active to cool inflammation.
I use hot showers when I haven't been active to help being more fresh blood to the muscles.
Stretching after being active also helps with bloodflow.
hi raynboz i know just how u feel i get it just about every day and when i go to bed it feels like my heart is trying to pound out of my chest it takes me ages to get it to slow down so i can sleep sometimes im up till between 3-5 in a morning with it sending u hugs
I'd check with a cardiologist on it, but yes, I used to get it and it was all caused by stress. Having a chronic illness is stressful enough but pain from overdoing it is a stressor as well. They put me on a halter monitor for a month and I was skipping beats etc as well. Once my pain was more under control--it disappeared with no need for management. But always check with a doctor in case!!
I still get the heart racing all of the time. My Dr. Told me I was under roo much stress and I needed to lower my stress level. Lol like it's that easy.
