My heart is just racing. Over 120 Bpm. It has gotten to 150 before resting heart rate- and I went to the ER then. They did blood work, EKG, couldn't find a cause. I thought it was from my fibro meds but I'm off them now. All they could do at ER was give my fluids and send me home. Staying hydrated and not in pain- just uncomfortable! Anyone else experience this? What can I do?

Hi @forsaken angel... I have HAD panic attacks in the past and this is completely different. Like I'm not anxious , nothing stressful or weird going on but All of a sudden... bang.. There it is! Plus anxiety attacks take a long time to pass, at least in my experience . This thing is there out of nowhere and gone inside of five minutes. Anyone else get this?
I go through periods with racing heart beats, it feels like it will beat right out of my chest. I've had numerous stress tests, two heart catherizations and it all comes back normal. It is part of FM for many people. I have known many people who have called 911 or gone to the ER only to find there is nothing wrong. I think the muscles in the chest go into spasms and makes us think we are having heart attack symptoms.
Wow! Things begin to make sense! I have also had those super "heart pounding out of my chest" moments ! Maybe two or three times a year. And for no reason. I remember being at my daughters shower party having a great time, happy, no worries when all of a sudden it happened. It passed in about two minutes but man I thought I was having a heart attack! All tests have indicated that my heart is fine. WTF?
Could be hypothyroidism.
Wow! I have had this for years but have never told my doctor as I think she secretly thinks I am a hypochondriac! Sometimes I think so too. I didn't know that crazy heart super racing is yet another symptom. I have had all kinds of heart tests and monitoring and they have all come back normal. Gawd WTF?
