Regulating Body Temperature
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm noticing I'm having a hard time regulating my body temperature.. most of the time I'm cold. At home if I have the windows open, the slightest breeze will give me goosebumps. I then close the windows. A while later I'm hot, so I open the windows again. It's a back and forth thing. I also have a hard time getting my body temperature up. If I'm cold, it takes forever for me to warm up. Does anyone else have this issue?

Unfortunately we have problems regulating body temperature. It sucks and it's definitely part of fibro. I got a heated blanket to use and help me warm up. Being in the heat is just as bad as cold for me. My boyfriend is getting me an umbrella holder so when I'm outside im not in the sun

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! I am so glad you posted this. I thought I was going crazy!!! I get chills and goosebumps and get bundled up in sweatershirts and blankets and next I'm sweating.

Yes I call it the hot colds, I thought I was the only one who had this weird thing going on.

Same here--I dress in layers so I can take off and put on them as I need to.

I have the same problem. I can't tolerate cold or heat. Cold when the a/c is on, hot when it's off.......since we don't have much cold here, it's the heat that bothers me most.
