I'm been told by a specialist my vitamin D is half of what it should be, which came as quite a shock as I'm always out and about with my job. I'm always in vest tops. I will be speaking to my GP on Wednesday about it to see if this is another issue, as I just can't get my head round it at all. Yes I know I could take a vitamin tablet but from reading up online I shouldn't have a vitamin D problem.
Anyone else had this problem?
Thankfully my GP gave me some sleeping tablets on Wednesday but not to take every night I have done since early Wednesday and I'm going to take one tonight then stop and see if they have managed to break the cycle. Plus I'm speaking to my GP on Wednesday as well about this.i will be able to function again hopefully even if sleep does reduce but at least I've had a few good nights and will still have spare tablets. He won't give me them long term and I understand that and I don't want them long term either I don't want to be addict but I also need sleep. Sending hugs, I hate this disease and everything else it throws at us x
Vitamin D not important? What???
It's so important! We need it to absorb calcium to make our bones strong. Vitamin D deficiency can also contribute to certin kinds of cancer.
People that live in a four season area, it's a good chance you could be D deficient during the cold months. That's when I supplement.

Yes! My dr. put me on 1000 units a day a year ago, tested just last week and no improvement at all. He put me on 50,000 units once a week! Yes, 50,000. We shall see if it helps, I'm exhausted all the time and can't sleep.
Yep, I had to take prescription strength D3. Now my dr. 5,000 units a day and that keeps me midrange. Low levels of D in itself can cause pain
