Members discussed their experiences with pain management clinics for fibromyalgia, with several sharing that they received referrals from their primary doctors and often faced wait times of several months to get appointments and access programs. Many members described receiving multidisciplinary care through pain clinics, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, hydrotherapy, and counseling, with one member praising their knowledgeable doctor. A recurring theme was interest in exploring medical marijuana as a natural alternative to prescription medications, with members expressing frustration about side effects from drugs like gabapentin and tramadol and concern about long-term chemical impacts on their bodies.

I feel the same. I am trying to get off of Tramadol now. My doctor suggested a pain management clinic. I don't want that. The gabapentin helps me and am taking Motrin, cymbalta, and Ativan for at night. I'm miserable right now coming off of Tramadol. But I am in better moods. I have been on Tramadol a long time. Be careful. Your body gets used to it. Good luck

Frustrated w/the pain meds. Just found Dr. who is going to help me get a medical marijuana card. Then I can get the "weed patch!" a LOL Live in Michigan. Appt. next Monday @ 8:00 a.m. Rather go natural than the chemicals that Lord knows what is doing to our bodies now & down the road. Been free of gabapentin for 3 months now. Unfortunately, had to go on muscle relaxers & tramadol. Other crap is going on in my body I don't like now. Keeping fingers crossed.
