When a dr tells me to imagine if there was a zombie apocalypse and what would I do about not taking pain meds on my 1st. Then took me from 3 pulls a day to 2. Or telling me on my 2nd visit buldging discs don't hurt me, when in fact the same report he was reading from says I have degenerative disc disease, spondylosis, pinched nerves and muscle spasms to name a few. But never read the others and fired me because I got mad me discounted my pain. That's what we have to deal with and this pain… read more

Members rallied around someone who felt dismissed and mistreated by a pain management doctor who compared their situation to a zombie apocalypse, minimized their documented spinal conditions, reduced their medication, and then fired them after just two brief visits. Several members encouraged finding a new doctor immediately, with some sharing their own experiences of filing complaints against dismissive physicians and reminding the original poster that as paying patients they deserve respect and compassionate care. A recurring theme was the validation that no one should tolerate being belittled or having their pain discounted, with members emphasizing the importance of self-advocacy and the understanding that life is too short to accept poor treatment from healthcare providers.

Laser Spine Institute. Let's get yourself another doctor first though but check out this place and take care of that spinal problem! You can check it out online. I've had non invasive outpatient surgery there and was great! Just came back 4 weeks ago when I took my daughter there. We were shopping at Walmart same day after surgery! It's worth checking out!

Zombie apocalypse? What is he on crack? The spine Institute sounds like a good place to go. I agree if you feel that if you are not happy with the care you are getting, move on and find the doctor who will provide it. Health care is not what it used to be. I have seen more incompetent doctors than I don't even want to say until I found the right one. Best of luck.
