Members shared various causes for sudden lightheadedness when standing or bending, with the most common explanations being low blood pressure, dehydration, sinus congestion or ear issues affecting balance, low blood sugar from skipping meals, and side effects from medications. Several members recommended practical steps including moving slowly when changing positions, sitting on the edge of the bed before standing, staying well-hydrated, and having blood pressure checked in multiple positions along with iron and potassium levels. A recurring theme was the importance of seeing a doctor to rule out underlying issues while recognizing that lightheadedness can be a frustrating but common symptom of fibromyalgia and other chronic conditions.

Several things could be causing it. When I have those symptoms come on and stick around I usually have a sinus infection or my allergies are acting up interfering with my ears which messes with my balance. The other thing that causes lightheadedness in me is low blood pressure. My blood pressure is usually low but sometimes it goes really low and I can pass out. If I am not careful to stay hydrated it tends to go low really fast. If you don't usually have this problem, it is probably a problem with your ears and you should see a doctor to check it out.

Lightheadedness and/or dizziness , Well that's "just all part of the fun"! That's what I say about every new symptom or ailment that crops up on me day by day! I remember when I first got "Vertigo!" That's what my genius of a PCP doctor came up with when it happened to me the first time. At first it would take me down like to the ground and I couldn't move my head or get up to even get on the bed due to the nausea, lightheadedness, dizziness and inability to move,It was horrible. It happened first in my closet when I was hanging up clothes and turning my head like side to side, bending over and moving my head to quickly as I do when I'm rushing through many of my tasks! EVERY TIME I'm in my closet I still get dizzy and have to stop walk out and slow down so it doesn't debilitate me again! I also have tinnitus (they think)? In both my ears I have had this constant noise of ringing/humming/high pitch buzzing inside my head for 5+/- years now. It's in both my ears like inside my skull !?Tested me for Meiners disease but have no third symptom of hearing loss and as always thank goodness my hearing tested perfect so all I know is "it's all just part of the fun!"

yes it is most likely your blood pressure ! when you are laying down sit up for a few before you start walking ! the DR should take your bP laying and then sitting down and then standing up ! to see if it is low blood pressure ! love peace joy and prayers always michele
