Members connected over the frightening experience of their legs suddenly giving way without warning, with several sharing that this has been happening to them for years, sometimes resulting in falls that forced lifestyle changes like moving bedrooms downstairs or refusing to carry children on stairs. One member suggested checking blood sugar levels, explaining that fibromyalgia and diabetes are closely connected and that low blood sugar can cause legs to shake and weaken suddenly, prompting the original poster to schedule further testing with their doctor. A recurring theme was the importance of medical investigation to rule out underlying causes, the relief of having symptoms taken seriously, and mutual support through a scary and unpredictable symptom.

This has been happening to be on and off for about 9 years now. Since my daughter was born... I fell with her a few times, after that I refused to carry her up and down the stairs. I changed my bedroom from being up stairs to down stairs... sometimes over the years without warning my legs buckle and give out and it's scary...

Hello... I just had my sugars checked and I'm good. They are in a normal range. But thank you for the suggestion.
