Because I have oesteo arthritis in the facet joints and sacrilliac joints and cortisone injections aren't lasting as long so having sensory nerves burnt in a couple of weeks . It supposedly helps reset the pain click to 0 again. The nerves grow back but hopefully not thevoain or if it does it takes maybe 12 months before it comes back.
Betsy62 I have had cortisone injections in the past and they used to last 12 months but now it's only 3 months. That's why I have the nerve burning.it has worked so far so want to do more and hoping to do it in the next couple of months. It has no side effects that I have experienced. The ketamine infusion was shocking. The side effects were disastrous I just wanted to die.
After having this procedure the nerve burning has helped in the area it was done but the ketamine infusion for the fibryo and the CRPS in my feet helped for only one week. Not worth the dreadful side effects of the ketamine for one weeks relief. But others ,au have more luck. There was a girl in the hospital having it at the same time and she has it done every 3 months as she got 3 months relief.
Will do! I'm very nervous! I'm also being given an infusion of ketamine to help the fibryo
I have SI joint distinction. I have cortisone injections. I have about 75% reduction in pain for up to 3-4 months. If the pain continues to return, the pain center is recommending surgery. I'm interested in your treatments. I don't know anyone else who has this problem. The pain has been unbearable. The pain has interrupted my sleep which is terrible for my Fibromyalgia.
Well after 3-6 months the nerve burning has begun to wear off over the winter. Hoping the weather warming up will extend it.
