Not a lot of my co-corkers know that I suffer almost every day. But, when if gets really bad I tend to slow down and take my time. All I do really is paperwork and room patients. So I am on my feet a lot during the day, but once i get in the rooms I can sit too, so it does help. I don't ever call in sick so I just take it one day at a time!! (((hugs)))
A few months ago I bought a Quail tens device you wear all the time. It is very helpful for me. My daughter is a CFO of a company here in AR. She also has FM. She finds injections at the most painful area to be helpful. I pray the Lord will lessen your pain. I worked for twenty years with pain. I found I could work with pain but it was harder to work with migraines that go along with FM.
Yes I know not everyone can do that ! I count my blessings that I have a husband that can provide for us and works hard so I can stay home ! But I know not everyone can do! Hope you have a great day @A MyFibroTeam Member
Yes I agree Heather. Advice given is to reduce hours but being single I have to work full time. Now it's getting a realistic balance between work and social or me life, difficult as a teacher, but it is in many jobs. We all have to think about our health and wellbeing. I'm hoping I can possibly reduce hours in the next few years. I'm sure you are benefitting Heathery and I hope that it continues. Big hug ๐
Aww I feel for you it is not easy is it. I use tabs, heart patches, pain patches, tens n tape all work for a short time. I am waiting on my 3rd stage on see the pain management team this is the last one then I will get more help from them if they think they can help. But I then have to see if it fits it around my work shift cos work dont know it the course goes over a few weeks.. Can you get any more help from your doctor n be sent on something like that..
