I'm going to have surgery on my neck this summer and hopefully that's the only place. How many of you have had some kind surgery and it makes your fibro worse or better, maybe even the same.
Takes longwr to heal, longer in pain than normal people. Plan for the down time, and stayvahead of the pain...dont wait till you hurt to take the pain meds. ..stay on schedule
I've had a c section..carpal tunnel surgery and a sterilisation within 4 months of each other and I'm still not fully back to myself yet and it's been 6 months..I'm a fool to myself though as I won't rest up as don't want to appear lazy or like I'm a wimp ..I also won't let others help me as I like to do things my own way like housework etc....I have ocd too lol
I've had foot, back, knee replacement, shoulder (rotator cuff) and a few more. I've always come out better then when I started. I will say that I don't get back to original condition but the pain has always been less and function is better. The catch is that you have to do the physical therapy as if your life depends on it. It really does make the difference between a successful outcome or a bad outcome. I'm in the middle of PT for my last rotator cuff surgery. It is not easy and sure seems like it takes a long time to get function back but I can slowly see improvement every week. My physical therapist is very happy with how I'm doing.
Total healing from some of the surgeries took a lot longer then I would have thought. But I haven't regretted any of them.
Just had hip surgery and now getting better. And walking and yes it was really painful since then but getting better
breathing issues than oxygen would be covered. Doesn't make sense to me.??
