Next month we will drive two hours for Easter weekend. We will then leave a few days later for a week long trip. Driving to Tulsa, OK. Will break it up in two days. I just don't want to disappoint my family when my pain and fatigue kick in.

You are brave to take the long drives. I have had fibromyalgia for about 35 years. My advice is to treat yourself well. Eat well during the trip , keep hydrated and stop often to stretch your legs and back. Take pillows to sit on lean on. I hope this helps. Have a great trip.
I would never wish this awful disease on anyone but I wish our loved ones could just experience it one day what we go through !! People who don't have it I think sometimes think we are crazy 😩
I take ice packs to use in the car and while visiting and a cooler to keep them in.
I keep a massager with heat in my drivers seat even for short drives. I take low carb gluten free food water bottles and a re-fillable cup of coffee. Stopping every hour or 2 and walking around, using the restroom or getting lunch helps.
I haven't been on a road trip in about 5 years. When I do travel I think hard about how to comfort myself. I bring along a few things and I let the hubby do the driving. I bring my music that I love (ipod) I don't want to bother anyone with just my music. I bring a big software pillow, fruit and some candy and always stop to eat, stretch your legs. If you have to drive make for maybe and hour then rest. Bring water to take your meds and keep hydrated. Make your trip as comfortable as possible. Enjoy your trip.
Take anything soothing to you along with you. Focus on what gives you peace and comfort. I like listening to K-Love on the radio. I love to read. I will keep you in my prayers! Hugs! XOXO ♡♥
