Members shared varied experiences and strategies for managing sciatica pain, with several cautioning that deep tissue massage made their pain significantly worse while others found relief through gentle stretching, heating pads, ice, TENS units, and the stretching technique of holding for 5 seconds and resting for 3 seconds. Many members emphasized the importance of physical therapy to strengthen muscles that support proper alignment, using pillows between or under the knees while sleeping, and trying gentle yoga or stress-relief practices. A recurring theme was that sciatica management is highly individual, requiring patience and often professional guidance to find what works, with members offering prayers and solidarity to those still searching for relief.

Be Careful of the deep therapy masssage. It crippled me up in pain for weeks. I could hardly walk, it made the pain 50 times worse. Just sharing my experience.

Oh hon, so sorry! I hate that pain! I sit on heating pad & try to dig my fist in it & stretch. I hold the stretch for 5 seconds, rest 3 seconds & do 5 of that( physical therapy taught me that one) Sometimes I alternate ice. Praying you feel better soon🌹

physical therapy coupled with never laying flat helped me.... My hip was going out of alignment and pinching the nerve.... therapy helped build the muscles up to keep it in place better and pillows under or between my knees helps keep alignment while I'm resting or sleeping hope it helps you
