I'm not super happy with my rheumatologist at the moment and am thinking of a change, so anyone in Adelaide or South Australia have any good doctors or specialists that they've found understanding and helpful? I feel like I'm hitting my head against a brick wall :(
I'd appreciate any recommendations
Thanks :)

Hello, I can highly recommend Alex Fisher Health on Fullarton Road. He's a Naturopath that has a good understanding of Fibro. I have been seeing him for about 3 months and my symptoms are much more manageable, pain has decreased, IBS better and much less depressed. While I still have a way to go, this is the best i have felt in years!
Im still not having any luck with DR Kwiatek, his standard responses seem to be 'that's no good' and when I ask what we can do he just says nothing.
My Osteopath has suggested seeing an intergrative GP, has anyone else heard of them or seen one? I'd be interested to know if you've had any success with them?
Hey guys
clearly kwiatek is the go to man in Adelaide :-) it seems we are all hitting a glass ceiling at the moment..... Interesting that some of us in Adelaide have had a good few months but starting to flare more this past month.... I say that because sometimes I swear the weather plays a part... Particuarly low pressure ...I've researched the utilisation of a hyperbaric chambers as I heard there has been positive results with fibro in this area.... Such an expensive treatment though as u need a lot of sessions..... Be interesting to due a study on symptom's flares etc relating to where u live and weather patterns ... Food for thought
I am not prescribing or promoting anything here, but I have found that taking Vit C has helped me not get all the little fevers and swollen lymph nodes etc...not to mention I was sick 3 times since Christmas and I had to do SOMETHING!! I understand that "kinda feel sick all the time" type feeling...ugh, on top of everything else can be so overwhelming!! Best of luck to you!!
Hi Lisa
I also see Dr Kwiatek.... So hard to know.... certainly interested in hearing if others have had more success managing the lovely fibro... I've certainly improved for the most part since seeing him and playing with new meds. .. nonetheless the illness is still here as too are the flares ... it's a bitter taste to think, it is what it is... take care all x
