My ANA was slightly positive, but my doctor said it's nothing to worry about because healthy people can have a positive ANA. My question is, should I be concerned because I am not a healthy person, I have fibromyalgia, tachycardia, costochondritis and migraines.
What are your thought?
-thanks!
A low level of ANA can be evident in healthy people. Only an ANA with titre of 1600 or greater is significant.
If your doctor said your ANA was slightly positive and it's nothing to worry about, they're indicating you don't have an auto immune disease and that, although you're not healthy, you can have a positive ANA result and be healthy- because the levels are significantly low
@A MyFibroTeam Member no fibromyalgia does not cause positive ANA results
Web Md, if I am understanding it correctly, says this shows that you do not have Lupus.
Omg that's one thing they found with me also that's why they said it may be lupus Does this also happen with fibromyalgia then ?? Being only diagnosed yesterday I don't know anything x
Usually when you get a positive ANA your doctor would wamt to follow up with more tests to see if you have an autoimmune.
Hoping and praying you don't have one.
