Does Incontinence Go Along With Fibro?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does incontinence go along with fibro? I had an incident in the grocery store today! Just wondering.

When my fibro started in it's beginning stage I had many accidents at stores. It's so embarrassing! I wear discreet pads during the day because if I fall asleep on the sofa during the day sometimes I will pee. At night I wear discreet pull-ups.

Actually irritable bladder is on the symptom list. This is where there is a sudden urgency to pee. If this is what is causing your incontinence, then theres a link.

If it's a new symptom though, and it's obviously problematic, it'l be worth seeing your gp to make sure that there are no other underlying causes.

I recently developed this in relation to a flare up and it's very different to when ppl leak when they cough or laugh.

I think that it's one of the many conditions that we have. If you sat 50-100 people in a room you'll find the diversity of possible issues that we have to deal with. However, up to now I've not had any issues like this.
I've been poorly, not able to work since late 2013 & yes that has been a very long 3 years.
After my tribunal at the magistrates court yesterday, it's almost like a weight has been lifted.

That's unfortunate and these days there's so many aids to help with anything. Personally I've never had a problem with that. Good luck!
