Members enthusiastically supported the idea of creating a dedicated men's group for discussing fibromyalgia and related conditions, recognizing that some individuals feel more comfortable addressing intimate health concerns in gender-specific spaces. Several members highlighted that while fibromyalgia affects both men and women with similar symptoms, men are significantly underdiagnosed, with one member citing Mayo Clinic research showing twenty times more men appear to have fibromyalgia based on symptoms than are formally diagnosed, likely because men are less likely to report their symptoms. A recurring theme was the value of creating safe, supportive spaces where men can openly discuss their experiences without hesitation, paralleling similar women-only groups that already exist.

I think it a fab idea Graham, I know that some women aren't always comfortable speaking about certain issues in a mixed group, especially intimate things.
Men & women have a lot of the same with problems & symptoms with fibromyalgia & various musculoskeletal conditions, but there are also differences on how they effect each gender.

Well done Graham on taking the initiative & good luck

Sounds good. BUT having been in public health which had STDs and HIV I think I have heard a lot but maybe some guys would prefer their own section which would be great if they used it.
