Thank you to all those who have shown an interest in my art through likes, hugs and especially encouraging comments. Even had someone with a genuine interest in buying one of my pieces. Wow. Very humbling
Gives me hope to keep doing art and that someone somewhere will fall in love with some piece I've done and want it in their home. With all the pain I live with especially the migraines I sometimes lose perspective as to what good is left in me to share with others not including love. I have… read more

Members warmly supported one another in the conversation around continuing creativity with chronic illness, exchanging heartfelt gratitude, prayer requests, and personal experiences of using art, jewelry-making, coloring, gardening, and loom knitting as pain relief and emotional outlets. Several members shared practical encouragement, with one suggesting carpal tunnel testing rather than assuming all hand pain is fibromyalgia-related, another introducing accurate Lyme disease testing for those with fibromyalgia symptoms, and many emphasizing that creativity doesn't require daily prolific output to be valuable or meaningful. A recurring theme was the profound importance of reclaiming identity beyond illness, with members affirming that their gifts remain intact, that creating when possible brings joy and purpose, and that sharing their work with a supportive community helps them feel seen, valued, and hopeful.

Moreen, so happy to here that you will continue your artwork, I'm sure that is an answer to prayer! You have given me hope, as I have been slowly starting a jewelry business, with the jewelry I make. Just a small business on Etsy online. I haven't made any lately due to my migraines. But, I hope to get into my neurologist next week, and get help with my headaches, not just migraines, but the the other 2 types of headaches that I get daily as well. Thank you for encouraging me. And, I'm so happy that you will continue with your artwork, your God given talent. Can't wait to see more art work/ drawings from you! Love, prayers & hugs!! Clarey β€πŸ™ŒπŸ™πŸ˜˜β€

I find art relaxing. It takes my mind off stressful issues and cares of this life. I feel at peace and closer to God.

Hi Moreen, Please send some examples of your artwork so we can see what you do.
I find creativity extremely important in my life, lately it has been coloring using pens, pencils, markers.
I get obsessed with finding more great coloring books to choose from and also I like to find just the right pens that I like to work with. Lately, someone has turned me on to Pinterest. My daughter has also found this to be an interesting website with lots of cool ideas. I have never quilted before, but I love fabrics. I never used a sewing machine but who knows.....
When spring times, I am into plants and my garden. Even though I can't get down on my hands and knees anymore, I just walk around in it and love being surrounded by nature, the birds, etc.
sending you hugs.
