An OBSERVATION: I've had fibromyalgia for the last 4 years. I used cymbalta, effexor and Lyria. Sometimes 10 pills of lyrica a day. Recently I asked my doc to prescribe Ativan, which I now use regularly/ Ironclly the pain has gone. completly. which makeds me think is my disorder of a neurological origin? Any feedbak?
I cut it at once but replaced with Effexor right away.
Cymbalta was making me sluggish and foggy. I thought it was the best thing at first. It takes away the neuropathy. But it also takes away my brain capacity. If you want off talk to your doctor. I did an every other day for ten days and I dumped half of what was in the capsule
@A MyFibroTeam Member. It was Rix. Go to his page and check his Q&A. He has lots of info on the central nervous system. Hope this helps. Hugs and God bless.
Strange thing but I too added a benzo to nighttime regiment and pain comes way down. Benzos are central nervous system depressants. I also like magnesium and turmeric. I do have to be careful of benzodiazepines as they can work against mood elevators.
Yes, absolutely true. It is the brain's perception of pain. Say your husband experiences a headache, and you experience one of exactly the same magnitude. Youe husband's headach would go with a single Tylenol. Bur since you have fibromyalsia, your headch would feel 50 times stronger, more like a cliuster headach.
