She also told me that my symptoms are starting to overlap with autoimmune disease symptoms.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Sorry but u r entirely incorrect by saying doesn't progress. If it is not treated correctly at the onset of the illness or u r unsuccessful in obtainine an early diagnosis then the prognosis is bleak. Why do you think people end up in wheelchairs and being so unwell with fibro that they can no longer feed themselves or look after themselveschool. When I was diagnosed ten years ago I had good days and bad days but now I can barely walk or leave the house so yes it can progress and there are a few that reach this point and never recover. I am not trying to frighten every one but this is a reality

I am sorry that I have to disagree with Jes. My fibro is a hundred times worse than when it started, 30 years ago. When it first began, it was in just a few major places. It is now all over body and extreme pain for the most part. I am sure that part of it is my aging but my Rheumatologist also feels that I am getting worse as time goes on. I have several friends that have also gotten much worse through the years. My best to you and hope that yours stays at a happy hum and is manageable

@A MyFibroTeam Member, it's a shame that they don't have anything for fibro 😢 I don't think there is enough known about it. I think there is a root to the fibro, and the million dollar questions is.....what is that root. I too have been to so many doctors, I gave up hope after seeing a functional doctor. This is a debilitating disease

My fibro has gotten worse. I was even checked for MS, I had fibro for about 20 years and in the last 3 years has took a toll on me. I have a hard time walking my body has got weaker and even when I do try to exercise more I do the worse it gets. That's only the beginning...I've been to so many specialist and I don't have MS. My opinion fibro is in the family with MS. Only thing is there is medication for MS and nothing for fibro
