Has anyone who got off ssri's/ssnri/antidepressants etc cry a lot for no reason? I am quitting cymbalta and since I have stopped it's like it opened the flood gates. I will cry for no reason at all...over commercials, songs, anything slightly sad or emotional. It's really annoying...
I'm sure it will pass but I want to make sure it's the cymbalta not that I have finally lost my mind πŸ˜…

Have you asked your Dr how to come off the cymbalta? Just stopping it on your own can cause effects that are like what your describing.

Oh dear I understand! Trust me, if you don't react well to Cymbalta it is hell! I was feeling soooo awful on it, felt like I would die like that, it made me soo tired, groggy, lightheaded, just weird & zombie-like. You have to 'wean' off slowly! I hope you didn't suddenly just stop. Please have your doctor advise how to wean off, if you haven't already done so. You cannot quit those meds "cold-turkey". I had the same reactions from Lyrica & Effexor, and I broke down crying hard because I could not handle the side effects anymore! I actually felt like I had brain damage! Lol... funny now, but not at the time. You WILL be okay, just please wean off slowly under a doctors care. Big hugs!!! Hang in there, you will be okay. πŸ˜˜πŸ’—πŸŒΉ

If you stopped abruptly it can do that. Typically you wean off or get put on something different

I'd like to make a suggestion. Make a list of medications that give you bad results/reactions and list the results/reaction. Update it before going the Dr. I learned the lesson the hard way and had severe nausea from Cymbalta because I didn't remember that I'd taken it before and had severe nausea. Please talk to your Dr. for a replacement for it. The others have given the good advice that a person has get off Cymbalta gradually (after consulting your Dr.) and not quit cold turkey.
