A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Do other family members understand your condition and how you feel daily?

My family doesn't bc apparently it's all in my head for attention. So wrong when you need support

I don't really take the time to explain a lot. My husband is very supportive and goes with me to most appointments. My children understand the multiple auto immune issues that I have. But I don't burden them with a lot cause they have their own families and issues. My sister is also supportive. No one has ever said it is in my head. I would try to print out information so that they understand the situation. But if they were very negative about it, I would not spend time justifying my life. It is a sad thing when families are not supportive.

Thanks I appreciate that. I had to stop talking to family bc they were so on the line of " Oh you are looking for attention " I don't need that in my life so they are out. haven't talked to me I 2 years

I understand where you're coming from. I have no support except here on this site. Sending gentle hugs, love, support, & encouragement your way and hope to hear back from you soon.
