I am having lots of gastro problems. I have experienced cdiff diverticulitis. They did a colonoscopy and didn't find anything. Im at a loss on what to do. Opioid medication seems to be the only thing that helps. Does anybody else have this problem

Members rallied around someone struggling with ongoing gastrointestinal issues after C. diff and diverticulitis, sharing how challenging it is when test results come back clear but the pain and discomfort remain very real. Several members described managing similar conditions like IBS and diverticulitis with medications such as Bentyl or Buscopan, probiotics like Align, ginger tea with lemon, heating pads, and careful timing of meals around medications, though many acknowledged that even healthy eating sometimes makes symptoms worse. A recurring theme was learning to listen to your own body over rigid diet rules, with one member candidly sharing they now eat what they want since the outcome feels the same regardless, while others emphasized the lasting impact C. diff can have on gut health and the importance of finding what works individually, whether that's fiber, aloe juice, or simply giving yourself grace through the trial and error.

Sorry to here you are going through this. I have had colitis and IBS as well but I take Bentyl and that seems to help a little. But I will say that in my case, no matter what I eat, my stomach still gets very irritated, so guess what, forget the crazy diets or eating the right foods, because the outcome is the same. So I just eat what I want and have fun with it and deal with the consequences later LOL

I stopped the Bentyl because it made me too loopy to function. I have found that ginger tea with lemon helps as well as if not better. Only having spasms in the morning when I have to go otherwise 2 to 4 cups of ginger tea keeps the discomfort under control for me.
