I find as of late I have been getting these itches. It is worse in places where things press against my skin, like my bra band or hips. Or if I scratch it moves to another place. My skin is not dry and I am not using new detergent or soap.

If so any suggestions on relief? I am finding I am leaving marks on my skin from scratch Hong so hard and it is driving me nuts!

Members connected over the frustrating experience of intense, unexplained itching that sometimes causes bleeding or scarring, with many describing itches that seem to move around or feel like they're beneath the skin. Several members shared practical strategies that have helped them find relief, including switching to fragrance-free and chemical-free products like Ivory soap, using ice packs or coconut oil, taking Benadryl or Gabapentin, and rinsing hair thoroughly without conditioner. A recurring theme was the challenge of identifying triggers (whether medications, sensitivities to previously tolerated products, or fibromyalgia itself) and the importance of working closely with doctors while also experimenting with gentle, unscented alternatives to manage this maddening symptom.

You don't have to have changed your soap or detergent. You may have become sensitive to it. Try using detergent chemical free and scent free. Also try using ivory bar soap the original one. That's what I had to do and it works for me. I now wash my hair with ivory bar soap because my scalp was so itchy I would scratch until I bled. Everything has to be unscented. Some soaps say unscented but they are not. Try ivory original. Hope this helps.
Gentle hugs and God bless.

I also itch - ALOT!!! I have to stop or my skin will bleed. The only relief I've found is putting ice where I scratch - but it doesn't help for long.

Oh those creepy crawly feelings is Fibro. I now take Gabapentin and that has helped a lot with that. Also helps with restless leg syndrome, neuropathy and if your skin is sensitive to touch and fabric helps with that. Hasn't done anything for deep muscle pain though.

I wouldn't say I itch all over but I do get a tingling sensation all over when I am about to have a big flare. It almost feels as though Itty bitty spiders are crawling all over me and that makes me itch. I lay in a Luke warm bath not hot because thar sets off your fybromyalgia too, and I add coconut oil to it. Don't stay in too long because laying in that position is not good for you either. Best of luck, soft hugs
