It's different for everyone. I'm 17 and I've been having symptoms since I was 10 but I was never officially diagnosed until May of 2016. For the past 2 years, mine has gotten incredibly worse. I've read articles about people's fibromyalgia going into "remission" to a point where they experience very minimal pain and can lead a normal life again.
When it comes to coping with my pain, I have a few hobbies and things that make me happy that take my mind off the pain. I LOVE animals. I have 3 guinea pigs that I absolutely adore and they keep me happy. They run around and hop and jump and it keeps me laughing. (Laughter is the best medicine 😁) I also own 2 cats who sleep with me every night cuddled under my chin or on my pillow to keep me warm and help me feel less alone.
I also enjoy singing. On good days, I like making music. It keeps my mind busy and studies have shown that singing and listening to (happy, uplifting) music that you enjoy releases endorphins which are feel-good hormones!
I have anxiety, and with fibro, that's a bad mix. Stress is a VERY big factor for me on my pain. If I have a stressful day, the next day will be horrible for pain. Sometimes there are down periods where you're miserable and in pain for weeks, but there are also times where you can go days feeling pretty good.
Since I'm a minor, no doctors will prescribe me hard drugs. I'm all about natural remedies and using everything that our planet has to offer us. Cannabis oil is not legal in my state, but I've heard that it works wonders, not only for fibro but for many other diseases and conditions.
Stay hopeful. Stay faithful. Stay positive. Don't let this condition rule your life. Believe in yourself and believe in your longevity and believe that you can get through this. ❤️
Thats a hard question to answer becuz each individual has different experiences. For me it hasnt gotten better. I have learned to adapt to a different way of life, which helps me with my pain. Then there r things like weight, STRESS, lack of physical activity, n other illness, which made things worse over time.
I think there r too many different factors with this illness to give a definite answer.
Sorry I was of no help!
I use the cannabis oil. It really has helped me, and is legal in all 50 states of US. It does not make you high but it relieves the pain.
Everyone is different and what helps me may not help the next fibro suffuer. Today so far is a good day and I bask in that and feel hopeful. Tomorrow I may not be able to get out of bed.
So true
