Have you ever woken up one day and looked in the mirror and not recognised your own reflection?
N not know the person looking back at you?
And you realize your loseing who you were and what you use to do?
But more importantly your true your self.
Most days I also feel like that especially last year until I lost who I am completely... and someone showed me the way back... you just need to rely on your support system and no pep talks from you or them... sosialise normally and someone will say something to bring you back eventually. it will be something that reminds you of the old times or who you are and you will find your own way back... Good luck. Gentle hugs x
I am still the same me inside. Problems arise when my me doesn't fit my body. I feel cheated because I'm not able to do a lot of things my mind tells me I should and want to do. My body seems to dictate everything and also who I'm allowed to be with this chronic pain. I have managed to carve out a way to accept and live this new me but doesn't mean I've stopped asking/praying for healing.
I've been sick so long I probably wouldn't know how to behave without pain.
Gentle hugs and God bless.
You can't let fibro define who you are. We are much more than pain. We feel, we love, we laugh. We have good days and bad for sure but we can't dwell on it. It's not healthy it's DEPRESSING and we don't need that!! Find one thing you enjoy and do it !! Everyday if you can. Be silly be crazy be whatever you need to be to get through the pain but remember there are good days and hopefully more good than bad!! Soft hugs and a prayer for you ๐๐๐ผ
I agree. Up to 3-4 years ago i was working in a Cat B prison as a mental health nurse running clinics, doing assessments and administering medication. Now days i struggle getting outof bed and remembering my name.
This robs us of who we are. It changes us in so many ways. I use to love going for a walk through the woods without a thought. Now just the thought of it hurts. I'm learning to love me n what I can do now but darn it I wish I was who I was. A hard working single mom 30 with my whole life ahead of me. N Bam it was gone.
Some days are harder then others
