Nails Detaching From Nail Beds
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone experience their finger nails detaching from their nail beds? It really hurts, its just the tips usually and they usually reattach over time. Is this fibro related?

I have read about psoriatic arthritis having that as a sign. Not a doc or anything but you might want to check it out.

I just had that happen to my toe that's next to my pinky toe. It hurt for a few days (I don't remember hurting it) then after a shower i noticed it was a lighter color than the rest of the nails. It looks like if I pulled on it, it will come right off. This is the first time this has ever happened

I can't remember if it happened prior to being diagnosed gluten intolerant... I was also diagnosed with fibro at the same time.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I know mine can't be from a gluten intolerance, I was on an elemination diet. Now that I think of it...maybe it was the diet that caused it 🤔
