Has PT helped anyone with their fibro or other conditions?
Yes. It took me several months to get to where I am now but it was totally worth the pain to get my muscles to chill out. My neck, shoulders, and while back were all in a spasm. I needed my physical therapist or I was going to have to quit my job out of pain. Lots of dry needling, deep massage, and stretching and exercises but it was worth it.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I found that my therapist was able to get me to a maintainable level but she would have to continue to work with me to help me keep it there. Because it is so easy to fall backwards with fibro it requires maintenance but my pt couldn't keep me on for maintenance so I had to wait till I got another injury so she could take me on again and do more work. Sounds ridiculous but that's how it works for us.
PT and hand therapy is jus ongoing for me I go twice a wk to hand institute and was going to therapy once a wk but since my vehicle has been broke down since June I haven't been able to go as much cabs are expensive and it's gettin to cold to walk. So I hope I can re start therapy after all is said and done .
Short term
Physical therapy saved me. The muscles were so tight that they clamped by spine down. The therapist was able to open it back up😌
