I'm in PA and on disability but when I qualified back in 2012 my lawyer said I wouldn't qualify based on fibro because even though I couldn't work due to my pain, because I wasn't using a wheelchair or anything, I wouldn't qualify so I qualified instead on my depression and anxiety disorders. If you don't have a lawyer, I'd get one - you're more likely to qualify for disability with a lawyer than without. Good luck. It's super hard. I'm so sorry.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I think that's when you are already collecting SS. From everything I read it's best you are not working at all
I saw a case where the judge was impressed with the woman that continued to try and work. Yes I have heard it is better not to work as well. I would talk to your attorney and he can tell you how many hours you can work.. also...get the records from all of your doctors and read them. See if they are documenting what you are telling them.
@A MyFibroTeam Member if you can have one of the specialist you are seeing fill out a form saying you are disabled it would help.
I had a temp job and worked 40 hours per week up until I got my approval.
