I live in Florida and get treated by my neurologists and my GP. Am I medicated? Yes. I take Gabapentin, Robaxin, Klonopin, Tylenol with Codine(?), and they just added Amiltrpitine (?)...please forgive the spelling, the later it gets the harder it is. My doctors also know I am not big on pills and have me on many many vitamins. Do I want to take all these medications? Nope. But the nerve pain and panic attacks are much better with them. It also feels much better being validated about my pain then being told and /or thinking it is all in my head.

My Rheumatologist is Jonathan Greer (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) in Boynton. He diagnosed my Fibromyalgia but my primary Dr also treats me for it. Any Primary should be able to assist you if you do nit want to see a specialist for it. I believe an Orthopedic Dr can also treat Fibromyalgia as my friend was treated by her Orthopedic Dr. Hope this helps! I recommend seeing a Rheumatologist since they are specifically trained in diagnosing Fibromyalgia & are also most current on latest news/treatments/meds! :-)
