I am going off of Lyrica. I'm down to taking only one 150 MG capsule a day. I also take Nortriptylline 50 MG a day. I have tried Gabapentin and Cymbalta with no luck. Uncertain what to try next. Lyrica make my vision blurry and my hands and ankles swell. That is the reason I am going off of it finally. Been taking it for years and just got tired of blurry vision. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you all so much. Many hugs.

Members shared medication and supplement alternatives for someone tapering off Lyrica due to blurry vision and swelling, with several suggesting trying Topamax, Savella, amitriptyline, or Effexor, while others recommended anti-inflammatory supplements like turmeric, ginger, and fish oil, with practical tips to buy vitamins on sale or through discount sites like puritanspride.com. Many members connected over the shared struggle of managing fibromyalgia pain on a limited budget when insurance won't cover supplements, and the difficulty of finding doctors willing to prescribe effective pain relief. A recurring theme was the importance of exploring both pharmaceutical and natural options, advocating persistently with medical providers, and leaning on the community for practical guidance and emotional support during the difficult process of switching medications.

I know that vitamins and supplements can be expensive, so I always buy them on sale, usually when they are Buy one-Get one Free. God Bless.

Ginger is now working for me. Helps with the stiffness.. and takes the edge off.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU rozebudd62! Have you ever tried spices and herbs like Tumeric Curcumin pill form and foods that fight inflammation? Inflammation is the cause of most of our health issues and pain. There is so much information online for free to help you. It's really worth your time. I don't give the Pharmaceutical companies the power to rule my health and ruin my body. Good luck my friend and be well!

I see you are looking for medications, but have you thought about other treatment. Eg. vitamins that help nerve pain, essential oils and so on?

@ rozebudd62, You are always so kind and understanding. "One More *Lyrica To Go." That's GREAT news! :-) And stopping all the day before your birthday? What a nice birthday present! "Bye, *Lyrica!"
Today I was quietly thinking: "I'll be feeling too much better by the time of "pain management appointment." Thankfully, I've improved. But I'll still like to have some pain pills. To me, it sounds like I'm seeing a very intelligent person. That's all I can say. I just feel this. Keep in touch, My Sister. :-) Agape.
