Has Anyone Had There Nerve Endings Burned For Sciatic Nerve Pain And Did It Help?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have sciatic nerve pain and it is intense, I can hardly walk and can't do anything for myself. The doctor recommended getting a sacral injection with burning the nerve endings. If you have had any experience with this please share your experience.

Mary I feel your pain. My doctor does not want to do any surgeries on my because he said that it would make the fibro worse. I had the injections for several years and they stop working for me the third time I had them done but, I was working 45 hours a week and the money was good but now I wonder if it was worth it because I might have made things worse; and then the miss diagnosis for a couple of years too. I HATE taking medicine and it seem like every doctor I went to last year was giving me a prescription for something or other. Hang in there my friend. As long as you continue to put God first, he will not forsake us. Gentle hugs.

I had my neck fusion done in 2011 c5&6 removed, bone and plate put back in. I started get the most horrible migranes 6-7 a month taking me down 3-4 days (throwing up and pain) I just couldn't handle it. I got the injection with the burning last yr 7/15, and it work for me until about 2 months ago. I just had a new cervical injection for some issues coming back. The procedure sucked but for me it lasted a year. So I can wish u luck in whatever you decide, sending soft hugs your way and prayers

What about acupuncture? Its been prove for hundreds, or thousands of years. I'd love to find a good one since we moved.

Tai Chi or Yoga help too. Nothing gets better overnight but one of these should give you some relief.

By the sounds of it the procedure is so short lived its not worth it. Hope this helps.

I've had
Arthritis 40 yrs
Multiple Sclerosis 29 yrs
Atrial Fibrillation 22 yr
Fibromyalgia 21 yrs.

I understand pain. I've had problems with walking from the Multiple Sclerosis. Been in and out of a wheelchair twice. You have to keep fighting. I'm a firm believer that attitude is everything. Plus I eat a very healthy diet. No processed foods.

Again hope this helps.

I had a nerve test conducted which was also painful. Wasn't any nerve damage. Thank God! I also suffer with spinal stenosis and sciatic nerve pain! Not to mention my neck and my shoulder! I was also diagnosed with heel spurs among other things . But I know God is the greatest Physician! Soft hugs 🍭🌲

I have severe spinal stenosis. They wanted me to have surgery The
Int Med wanted to recommend a surgeon after about 45 min after I had the MRI. The epidural helps the sciatic O will never consider surgery Often it requires multip surgeries. Often it doesn't help and it can make things worse. I fear also with possible multiple surgeries the fibro will get worse of the procedures do not work. I asked my doctor if eventually wind up in a wheelchair with bladder and bowel did function. He said he doesn't know. Fibro is bad. I don't meed to tell any of you but spinal surgery scares me more then the pain
