Do You Ever Feel So Alone?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I don't know if it's because I have been having some really bad episodes and issues... during the day and night so I'm not getting enough sleep
But does anyone ever feel so alone even though you have people who love and support you and they try to bring light into darkness? I'm moody, crabby, want to be held, but don't want to be held at the same time, I don't wanna be left alone but ya want to be alone. I'm crying as I'm trying this because I don't know anything as it seems. I'm feeling pretty… read more

Oh yes, yes!!!! Sometimes (and it everyday) l feel so down, last night l felt like that, and l try to talk with my sons but they don't like to think mama feels like that. Then sometimes l just feel alone, and it gets me a little scared. I start to pray, and yes l cry. I make no excuse for my crying. I can't help it ,if l cry, l cry. God see my tears and l am so glad this was brought up, for l again thought it was just me. Thanks God for this group πŸ’œ

The depression and sadness of I don't want to be like this is real. Make sure you have someone you can talk to about how you are feeling that is not your caregiver. It can be a counselor or a good friend. I get so mad at my body. Crying is good. You don't have to be strong all the time. I get tired of being strong and that's when I keep my miserable self away from everyone. I just set a time limit before I force myself to start the fight again.

there is no one way for any one, each person has to keep finding their own way to deal with their pain. Sharing usually helps and finding how others have dealt with theirs also helps. I hope we can help with some of our coping methods

I have Bi-Polar with this ugly disease and I truly do know exactly how you feel honestly I go through it still . I have fallen and broken my ankle fallen 50 thousand times and that is just the physical additions. When I go to the Doctor and hear the same thing 9 million times which is nothing I get frustrated. They come out with these crazy things that might help but none of them know unless they have it they do not know. So over the last 10 years and the changes in my body I have felt defeated many times and angry and depressed and broken or like I was glass that was going to break. I sometimes wonder if this is the price for not taking care of myself at a young age, but its not . The best thing we can have is people like there are on this site. The caring people I have heard here and met here has been an extra source of strength . I can't tell you it will get better cause I have no magic insight , but I can tell you to get made and not at others but at this disease and fight it, like your life depends on it because it could . xoxoxo !

I have felt that way at times and told my Rheumatologist. She told me that with Fibro, my body isn't producing the hormones that it would normally. She prescribed Zoloft for me that seemed to help. I have since weened myself from 150mg/day down to 50/day & seems fine so far. I just didn't want to take more medication. I think a doctor who is specifically trained in treating hormone issues would be more helpful, such as an enterologist. (Sp?)
