Hi I've been recently diagnosed and I'm struggling so bad with pain all over but mainly in my shoulder and legs. Tomorrow I start on a course of Duloxetine is anyone else currently taking this medication to help with their fibromyalgia? And has it helped or hindered you?

Members shared mixed experiences with Duloxetine (Cymbalta) for fibromyalgia pain, with some finding it takes the edge off at 60mg while others reported increased pain at higher doses or discontinued it due to side effects outweighing benefits. Several members emphasized that finding the right dosage is highly individual, with some experiencing depression or headaches at higher doses, though headaches may be a common fibromyalgia symptom rather than a medication side effect. A recurring theme was the importance of tracking symptoms in a journal to monitor how the medication affects pain levels and mood, and the understanding that everyone responds differently to fibromyalgia treatments.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I am on 60mg as well and I can't go any higher.

@A MyFibroTeam Member it has taken a lot of the edge off but it may be giving me headaches however I am not sure if they are from the cymbalta. Good luck!

I take it. It seems like 60 mg helps but when I try 90 mgs, I start hurting more. I find that true for many medications--Lyrica being one of them.

That's good to know i was meant to start mine yesterday but there was a problem with my prescription 😯 so looks like Monday now. I start on 30mg then after 2 weeks it goes up to 60my so will see how I get on. Thank you for getting back to me 👌

I am currently on 90 mg of Cymbalta. I was on 60 mg for about a year until freshman year of college this year. Previously I remember trying 90 mg but it caused terrible side effects. Now i take 30 in morning and 60 in evening and am doing well overall.
