I get these sounds in my head that sound like what I can only describe as laser beams goiing off in my head. Sometime lasting for hours. It tends to happen when I cant sleep. When I asked my dr about it he asked if I was also hearing voices. I cut that convo short. I didn't want to end up on a 72hr 5150 hold lol. Please tell me Im not in need of a straight jacket.

I'm not sure what exactly it is I hear, it's definitely not voices, not laser beams either but it's a definite noise, that's very, very annoying and very, very painful accompanied by a headache that can last minutes to hours so I feel you! People thinking we're crazy is so flipping frustrating, usually I keep it to myself because of that! This group is so helpful to our well being and our mental health knowing that WE ARE NOT CRAZY!! LOL
I've been on Cymbalta for years............. if I forget to take it the "shooting stars" let me know within about 15 hours......
I wouldn't have cut the conversation short. The doctor was trying to determine something and not being truthful only hurts yourself. If you were concerned that he might think you were "crazy" then you need to tell him that. That alone might make him understand you are OK just worried about the noises in your head.
@A MyFibroTeam Member that isn't all it causes when weaning, they lawsuit is because people have killed themselves, have been hospitalized and went thru horrible long lasting withdrawals. Some people were sick and had after effects for 2 years. The doctors need to warn their patients about this toxic drug, it needs to be pulled off the market. But this country is all about money 😟
And whats worse, most of us are on the generic brand...so we can't sue
