Good morning to you! Please tell me, do any of you have terrible numbing pain in your hands throughout the day and night? If so, what do you do for it?

Members shared their experiences with numbing hand pain in fibromyalgia, describing symptoms that range from tingling and pins-and-needles sensations to severe pain that disrupts sleep and makes gripping objects difficult, with several noting the condition worsens in cold weather or after repetitive hand use. Many members offered practical relief strategies including using hot or cold compresses, wearing carpal tunnel braces at night, applying topical creams like Penetrex or muscle relief cream, massaging to increase blood flow, and taking medications like Lyrica, though some noted limited effectiveness and side effects like weight gain. A recurring theme was the importance of ruling out related conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, pinched nerves, or Raynaud's syndrome through proper testing, while many members also expressed faith and hope that their current suffering is not permanent.

I often wake up with numbness and tingling in legs and arms that disrupts sleep.
The aching pain in my hands and arms is much worse lately. The osteoarthritis is progressing.I use heat.
I am trying Penetrex cream. It's helping some with arms and alot with hips and lower back.

I bought a great soft night brace I have to sleep with or my hand is numb all night long. My Dr. Told me about them. It is for what ever that is when you use a keyboard to long. It has a bean bag in the palm. It is blue. Never ever go a night without it!! The only place I found it was at a Rite Aide drug store Bhopal this helps God Bless

I do on occasion,i am having it right now, google ranaudes syndrome and read what it says and see if it sounds like what you are experiencing.Because this is caused by the nerves, just like fibro. and it is not unusual for fibro.'s to have it.
