Headaches
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've been dealing with daily headaches for almost 2 weeks. None of the meds the doctor is sending works. There tension type in the back of my neck n head. I'm getting worn out. I've got heat or Ice on it all the time.
I'm just out of ideas n I guess my doctor is too.
Does anyone have suggestions on what to try?

Today the headache has been all day no brake of any kind.

I have headaches almost every day. I have blocked oil glands in my eyes (having a procedure done in January to fix that). I think my glasses give me a headache too. Have you tried peppermint oil? I got a special headache roll on. It's called The Essential Nest, Ease up. So I've been rubbing it on my forehead. You can use it on the back of your neck too. But regular peppermint oil is stronger. So I use that for migraines. You can get that at health food stores & even Walmart sells it now.

Ask your doctor if you can be referred to a physiotherapist, I had the exact same problem caused by huge knots in my shoulders. I had an ultrasound done on the shoulders by my physio, that really helped.
Good luck. x

Chocolate made my headaches and fatigue really bad - gave it up a few weeks ago and have had little or no headaches since......maybe there is something you are eating which is triggering the headaches or making them worse? Might be worth trying elimination diets to see if that helps....good luck, I know how horrible it is!

If it's unusual you should get a scan. Don't assume it's fibro related...are you dehydrated, could be a food allergy, even hayfever.. try to think of everything you might have changed, started, stopped.
