Hypersensitivity

Curious how many have pain that you feel when someone touches you. Such as someone pats you on the back and causes you to jump. My pain management MD does not think I have Fibromyalgia cause I don't have that all the time. I do when I'm in a extreme flare. My Rheumatologist does not agree with him

Oh how I love it when drs who don't have this illness try and sympathise with us or go entirely the other way and try and make us think it's in our heads !!!
I have a plastic folder with poly pockets in it and each time a new "proven scientific theory " is written I print it off and put it in and so when I go see ANY Dr my folder comes out and I say now argue with me... Now tell me that I'm imagining everything that is being proven by science 😡😡😡
It gets responses granted not always good as some do get offended but mostly they can't deny it and some even want copies.

The easy bruising is where our bloods too thin and the slightest knock causes what is essentially a bleed under the skin (bruise) x

I am sensitive to touch when the fibro is really bad. I love hugs and often hug close friends /family when they visit me, however on a bad day I find myself backing away from people/cringing and/or telling them please don't touch me. Just depends on the day and how well I feel. Sometimes even sitting beside someone on a couch is too sore even if they are on the opposite end of it!

On certain times, I awake with severe pain in like my upper thigh and upper arm and you can not touch those areas. It is kind of like shingles as I have had that also. Nothing can touch the areas that flare.

I am only like that on bad days.. stress does it too. It's more a nerve discomfort than actual pain and is sometimes a symptom of anxiety.
