Members shared mixed experiences with Cymbalta for fibromyalgia, with some finding it highly effective for pain and depression while others reported severe side effects or minimal benefit. Several members described significant withdrawal challenges, including "brain zaps," memory problems, coordination issues, chronic constipation, and prolonged discontinuation symptoms lasting months, with some members warning others about the difficulty of stopping the medication. A recurring theme was the highly individual nature of medication response, with members encouraging each other to give treatments adequate time to work while also advocating for caution and self-awareness when considering dosage changes or new prescriptions.

Cymbalta worked great for me but the side effect of chronic constipation was frustrating and caused a bacterial infection in my stomach. Then there is the FDA's name for the withdrawal process you will go through. "Cymbalta withdrawal syndrome". There are many lawsuits currently against the makers for not being honest about it and patients having severe problems for up to 2 years after coming off of it.

I have been on welbrutrin 100 once a day and my doctor increased it to 150 twice a day. That left me with almost no short term memory and really messed with my coordination . So now he wants me to try the cymbalta . I am going to give it a try and see how it works .

I started the cymbalta yesterday and had an allergic reaction to it. So that's off the table. I will go back to welbrutrin
