My cervical MRI results are in and compared to 2.5 years ago it has deteriorated. I have gone from one bulging disc at C6-7 to now having two with C5-6. I had mild Stenosis at C6-7 and now it is moderate to severe with stenosis now present at C5-6. There is now the presence of degeneration which wasn't there before. My neck pain has been awful so I guess this isn't surprising. I am having headaches everyday with severe migraines an average of every other day.
I had to have the surgery twice. Six months after having it the pain was excruciating. They had to go in and do a 2ND surgery cuz the titanium screws broke when I developed two more herniated disc. Now the four discs having collapsed on top of each other. Plus I have degenerative disc disease. I do not recommend having the surgery.
Going to be scheduling neck surgery, which I needed to do back in August, but suddenly life flipped upside down on me π my C5 and C6 are pushing into my spinal cord and very close to spinal fluid... I will let you know how it goes, the specialists at UCSD always have high recommendations so I just have to believe im in good hands π
Had neck surgery twice. Second time was from from C2 to C7. I still get headaches, my arms are numb, finger feeling gone in six fingers, can't sit in a hard chair as the pressure on my spine hurts my neck and back. I guess what works for some doesn't for others. Best of luck. Hugs!
I have not had surgery, but have done physical therapy (two series, 4 years apart) for cervical spine. Sounds like our issues are much the same. Traction at physical therapy helped me the most. The surgeon reviewed my case and wants to stave off surgery as long as possible.
