Fall And Winter Has Set In
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I wonder ? How does our body know before our seasons are changing that they are charging ?
I really used to love the seasons fall through winter. Not so much any more ..

I agree that the seasons changing seem to affect us greatly. My doctor told me that as the colder, wet days begin to come and the warmer days are behind us, that I would feel more stiff and have more pain. He is right. The transition from summer to fall is the worst for me. It's called the "Autumn Equinox" and the weather change can be brutal for me.

I believe the pressure changes have a lot to do with aggravating Fibromyalgia. When a person breaks a rib applying pressure to the area makes it feel better. With Fibromyalgia pressure makes the pain worse. This year has really been bad for high Barometric pressure. When the pressure is lower someone who benefits from compression (a person with a broken rib) may have increased pain. I do not think our bodies know anything beforehand about the season changes but believe it feels it at the time of change.

@A MyFibroTeam Member The weather is so crazy now in VA. There will be a dreary day in the 60's and the next day will be sunny in the 80's. I love summer but not Fall and Winter unless it snows and of course, I love Christmas. I get even more depressed when the leaves start falling. God is giving the earth a rest during that time. It seems that every part of the weather causes Fibro problems whether it is hot or cold. I think that Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue is just a devastating snydrone or what ever it is called. I really don't know the answer for sure but I agree it affects us! Hugs

I answered your question in a headache that I did not know was a headache. It was in the back of my head and I just felt pressure. Had a Magnesium infusion today and feel like a different person even mentally. My memory is better and I feel clearer. So there are headaches with Fibromyalgia and a neurologist can help. I fell asleep and woke up different. It is strange but did get some liquid magnesium because evidently the pills are not digesting properly.
