For those of you on neurontin, what dose are you on for pain and is it combined with any other meds for fibro?

We all react differently to medications, and our experiences also depend on the other drugs we are taking. I took myself off of neurontin and tramadol, after i had the unfortunate case of having serotonin toxicity (i also take effexor xr). In hindsight, i would have tapered myself off the neurontin slowly, but at the time i felt i needed to detox pretty quickly so i eent cold turkey off my 300mg bid dose. The withdrawal was horrible and something i never want to experience again. I now realize that the neurontin was making me sleepy, less coherent, and causing me to have significant myoclonus which are all resolved now. When a doctor suggests a new medication, please do the research on medication, supplement, and evrn food interactions, as many strange and potentially dangerous things can happen.

1200 mg and it has worked a miracle on my fibro aches and pains. I tried Lyrica and I would never take that pill again. It altered my mind.

1200 mg. the high doses can bring on confusion if not monitored by physician. Speaking from experience, I did not know if I was coming or going!!! I love the drug, it takes away all the pain on the outside of my legs, arms, and collarbone!!! It works
