Is anyone else having issues with headache or migraines that cause vision changes? Or vision changes at all... Not sure if this is a fibro issue or if it is something else entirely.

Members connected over experiencing vision changes alongside headaches and migraines, with many describing visual auras (blurred vision, blind spots, or a veil-like effect) that can occur before, during, or without pain. Several members shared mixed experiences with sumatriptan, noting that while it helped some people initially, others experienced worsening vision problems or found it ineffective, and one member recommended exploring different migraine types through resources like the Migraine Trust. A recurring theme was the importance of ruling out other causes like diabetes or Sjogren's syndrome, seeing an eye doctor if symptoms persist, and recognizing that vision changes often coincide with fibromyalgia flares, autoimmune conditions, and other health challenges.

Vision weirdness called an aura is something that comes with migranes usually. If it does not subside after the headache leaves go to your eye doctor pronto.

Yes I am having vision changes. I got new glasses in January. They are progressive bifocals. I went back to eye Dr in March because my glasses made everything blurry. He was surprised my prescription had changed in such a small amount of time. I have days when things are blurry and days I can see good. It comes and goes.

I've been having migraines since 1992. I NEVER had a migraine until I was diagnosed with cancer. Then the Avalanche of autoimmune, fibro, neuropathy, CHF, and my eyesight went crazy! I developed Sjorgrins syndrome, which when that and fibro is flaring at the same time, I could claw my eyes out they are so dry. I bathe in coconut oil, literally! I've had to make a pallet in the floor and roll to exercise. At least I smell good! ☺️

My vision changes were down to diabetes. Is it worth you getting tested? Are you in the risk category for type 2?
