On the worst of worst days, I will watch movies and lay in bed with my dogs. They are such comfort.
If I am able to sit in a chair, I sew. It is my thing that I enjoy well enough to get lost in. If you could find something that you enjoy enough to lose yourself in it for some time, that is the thing to use to keep your mind occupied and off the pain.

Try to surround your self with someone or something that brings joy to you. I meditate. Listen to a guided mediation of pain and relaxation. I also love comedy. Laughter reduces stress and pain.

I get into my craft. Anything that takes my mind off the pain. The more you have to concentrate the more you forget the pain, so complicated is good, something new is good and creating is good if I can get into that zone. Blessings SaltashSuzie
