When eaten marijuana's effects last longer. When vaporized you get the immediate effects without the smoke. So it is much easier on your lungs.

It's gotten to the point where you really want to hold on to seeds (if u can get your hands on some) of the strains you find helpful, growing is fairly simple to do indoors(with lights) or out (in season). Since trying a few medical grade varieties i can see benefits, eg. sleep is better, appetite, and to a degree, vitality.
