Members shared experiences with recurring oral thrush, with several identifying potential triggers including steroid use, asthma inhalers, antibiotics, and imbalanced pH levels, while others described systemic candida overgrowth that improved significantly with treatment combining antifungals like nystatin, probiotics, and dietary changes. Many community members recommended practical strategies such as eating plain yogurt daily, taking probiotics like Align, rinsing thoroughly after inhaler use, and following a paleo or anti-candida diet that eliminates sugar and processed foods to starve yeast growth. A recurring theme was frustration with doctors who were unfamiliar with chronic yeast issues, balanced by hope and encouragement as members shared how dietary modifications and persistent self-advocacy led to meaningful improvements in symptoms and overall wellbeing.

A yeast infection occurs when your body's Ph is out of balance. Maybe look up alkaline vs. acidic diets and see if you can find something on that. Hang in there!

Yogurt helps a lot with yeast infection.
Diana I'm sorry to hear about all of this. It must be very frustrating.

Cindi- I don't think it has anything to do with fibro. Just some ppl have extra yeast growing. N it could take anything to trigger it from what I read. Antibiotics. Most ppl have a normal amount of yeast. While some have more. Read about yeast syndrome. N diets u can try

Are you on any kind of steroid? It is a common side effect for that class of drugs.

It's a suspension the pharmacist would mix up with antibiotic, lidocaine & flavoring. You need a prescription for it bc it comes in so many different ways. I would ask your PCP about it.
