It's related to fibromyalgia. It's like our nerve fibers are sensitive to pain.
@A MyFibroTeam Member tens unit is priceless, when I used mine it was one you could plug or use batteries. I always had it on with batteries. A true life saver until I didn't need it anymore. I don't use any medications to many long term side effects on organs and the body. You can freeze a bottle a 2ltr with water. Place on the floor and roll it under your feet. I know it sounds stupid but when I use to do this, it worked wonders for my aching feet.
Cymbals messed my head up I constantly have brain zaps and nausea no fun
I'm only taking a 5mg Valium tablet at night which relaxes my muscles so I can at least fall asleep. I only get 3-4 hours per night but have learned to do deep breathing to relax which sometimes works to put me into a light sleep for the rest of the night. My elderly doctor was great at writing prescriptions which I didn't fill as I do take reactions to a lot of medications. I do take a Tylenol, or Motrin or Aleve or Advil if the pain is absolutely nasty - but they don't help much. I have a TENS machine which works wonders. I use a huge cold pack for back issues and, when I can afford it, I do go to a deep tissue massage therapist. I also have been assigned a new young doctor who is somewhat understanding. But, she too likes to write prescriptions . . . .
It's horrible. Between fibro and arthritis I feel like I can hardly function.
