I have not had a sense of smell since fibromyalgia began, I'm curious as to how many others suffering fibromyalgia suffer the same loss of smell. Only extremely strong smells I can smell, slightly. What about you?

Members shared widely different experiences with smell and fibromyalgia, with some reporting complete loss of smell while others described hypersensitivity to scents, sounds, and textures that can feel overwhelming or even painful. Several members mentioned altered taste alongside smell changes, with some experiencing metallic tastes or foods tasting wrong, while others noted these sensory shifts often coincide with fibromyalgia flares or medication adjustments. A recurring theme was the relief of knowing others share these unusual and isolating symptoms, with many encouraging each other to mention concerns to their doctors while acknowledging how difficult it can be to describe such varied and seemingly strange experiences.

I smell things that aren't even there. I'm total opposite. Sense of smell and hearing is so sensitive it makes me crazy sometimes
