I've been going to a rhuematologist for 5-6 years now and have been on different nerve meadications and antiimflammatories and nothing seems to help. I stopped going to him because he said that my PCP doesn't have my depression under control and that's the problem. My depression has been under control for years. 5 HTP is the precursor for serotonin.
Lowlevels cause depression.
In america you can luckily get it anywhere.

I take 100 mg mid morning and mid afternoon.

Am off SSRI anti depressant.

That stuff only prevents the serotonin you have from being reabsorbed.
I just didn't seem to have enough to even start with, let alone keep it in the system.

Since I am on 5HTP my mood is relaxed and content. I sleep better.
Theanine is great for anxiety.

Try it.

Little to no side effects as it is a natural amino acid.

Hang in there.

I love my life. My fibro and brain chemical related problems cause the depression. NOT my ife.

Really? Never heard of it. Do you get it from the pharmacy?

See a rhuematogist that also treats fibromyalgia. The only thing I take is Cymbalta for pain and it works for me. Pain meds do not work at all. I take benedryl when I'm in pain so I can sleep. I wake up tired every day. I force myself to get up and shower.
